Faassen's catnip - Nepeta x faassenii.
Leaves and flowers smell like roses, geraniums and lemons at the same time.
A light-loving perennial that forms dense and lush bushes. The height of a flowering plant is 30-40 cm. The flowers are lilac-violet, small, collected in racemose inflorescences.
Flowering: June-September.
1.0 g = 1000 seeds.
Agrotechnics.
Prefers sandy and dry soils (does not tolerate heavy and wet soils). Needs periodic pruning (as the inflorescences fade), due to which the bush remains compact and flowering is prolonged.
Winter-hardy. Grows in one place for 3-5 years. Propagated by seeds (in open ground in spring or before winter, for seedlings - in March) or by dividing the bush (spring or autumn). Planting rate is 9 plants/m2.
It is used as a border plant, in rockeries, in mixborders, and also as a spicy-aromatic plant.
Good partners: rose, yarrow, anaphalis, sage, geranium.

Bot. syn.: Nepeta nepetella × Nepeta racemosa.
